It is all too easy to follow the crowd, to do as you think you should and not to truly express yourself, your thoughts, your values.

My approach to all things in life has always been to be "myself", to freely express my opinions, and at times to create a stir... but that is a quality that I believe is so important, and is often the catalyst for greater things.

The ability to think laterally, to consider all sides of an argument, to analyse, quantify, and respond in a qualified and authoritative way is core to my thinking.

Being prepared to stand alone in a crowd and shout, "you are all wrong".

Never saying never.

Rising to new challenges and adapting to, and embracing, change.

Recognising that we are always learning and relishing new ideas and thoughts from colleagues and friends.

All of these character traits are ones that I hold dear and strongly believe in and follow in both my working and personal life.
